Taloturva was the first company to implement the project at the home of Aila and Tauno Miikkulainen in Ulvila renovation of the heating network and then sewage system renovation . Aila and Tauno Miikkulainen have lived in their home in Ulvila since 1975. The house is almost 50 years old.
– We started to think that our home is quite old, and accidents can happen. The pipes and radiators were original. We wanted to anticipate potential offences. We were introduced to building security when a company employee came to our door. That’s where it all started, Tauno recalls.
In November 2015, Hausoturva carried out a renovation of the heating network in the Miikkulainen home. The renovation was so successful that in August 2016, the company also plumbed the home.
Smooth work and good results
Soon after their first meeting, the Miikkuys signed a contract with Taloturva and agreed on a schedule.
– Overall, we had a good impression of the company. They were able to show immediately that they could do a good job. The renovations went well, and everything agreed has been kept, Tauno says.
The first heat network renovation was completed within a week.
– Things went smoothly, and we were able to live at home all the time, Tauno says.
Also the submergence took place in just over a week. The pipes were inspected with cameras.
– The pipes have been carrying goods for 50 years. It did look like something could be done, even though no actual leak was found. We encountered a few unexpected complications during the diving, and even afterwards we had to look into the matter, because there was a smell in the toilet. However, the building security took care of the problem and the matter was investigated until the cause was found, Tauno says.
Life goes on with confidence
The Miikku people are happy with the result. Renovations will also be an advantage in the future when it comes time to sell the house.
– We have lived here for 40 years and we can continue to live here with confidence now that we no longer have to worry about the pipes. We can sincerely recommend the company! We would not have done a second renovation with them after the heat network renovation if we had been dissatisfied. Things went smoothly and well,” says Tauno.
